The Client

Midstream Oil Company, a leading transporter and distributor of refined petroleum and crude oil products in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition to oil transportation and distributing, they provide aggregate storage facilities for contract opportunities, including additive and installation services to improve performance options to meet distribution demands.

The Problem

Midstream Oil Company faced a twofold challenge: an aging AiX/Solaris platform supporting their core business and a need to upgrade applications. With an enterprise platform nearing end-of-life, minimal support, and compliance concerns, our client’s forward-thinking approach to upcoming challenges led to a non-traditional project with complex technical architecture.

The Solution

Adjacent Solutions understood the Midstream Oil Company's dilemmas and recommended Oracle platform migration services and upgrade solutions. Our team performed an Oracle database migration from Solaris to Linux with Oracle Database 19c, allowing our clients to gain the benefits of the most recent phase of autonomous database optimizations. With a successful Solaris migration, Adjacent Solutions upgraded our client to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.10 which included Java Web Start (JWS) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) to ensure safety for ESSBASE.
